The whole garden and I can't believe it is still growing strong. Everything that is but the carrots, they did not turn out as well and we may have to plant some more. The peas and green beans are sprouting all over are we are sure to have some canning to do. My wife has done an excellent job of cleaning up the garden and getting all the weeds out of it. I am proud to say that my tomato plants are doing well and I have some strong plants. The milk cartons are doing a great job of helping out the less fortunate tomato plants. I have been lucky not having to water the garden as it has been raining a lot and mother nature has helped us in providing the necessary moisture that we need.

Wow, what a beautiful garden! And what a great time to grow your own food.
Melissa recently read an article in one of the large newspapers (NY Times, Washington Post?) that opined we should buy food right now instead of investments. The author's position was quite interesting. He argued that with the ultra-low interest rates on secured investments, and the rising costs of groceries, we can realize an economic utility by stockpiling food (as if Mormons don't already know that). He claims we would economically benefit by having food storage in place when the food prices really soar, more so, than realizing the interest on a CD or savings account.
My two cents... ; >
