It all started with some tiny seeds and black dirt and with a little water and some hard work look what we have created. It's our own little green garden. First came the radishes and boy were they good. Now we have green beans and peas. The cabbage, cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes are sure to come next. We have a lot of green tomatoes, but I'm sure the color is soon to come. Everything that is but the carrots, they did not turn out as well and we may have to plant some more. The peas and green beans are sprouting all over are we are sure to have some canning to do. My wife has done an excellent job of cleaning up the garden and getting all the weeds out of it. I am proud to say that my tomato plants are doing well and I have some strong plants. The milk cartons are doing a great job of helping out the less fortunate tomato plants. I have been lucky not having to water the garden as it has been raining a lot and mother nature has helped us in providing the necessary moisture that we need.

Look at the Hot Pepper Plant. I spent the afternoon yesterday and today watering my garden. Then, Mother Nature took over and she hasn't stopped yet. Flash flood warnings have been posted, but I certainly don't want it to go that far and see my garden washed away! I have been checking for any signs of growth, but nothing yet. My wife and I spent a day and a half emptying the dirt from the driveway to the backyard where the garden was developed. I purchased some plants and some seed packets from my friendly neighborhood hardware store. I put the rake and hoe to work and started to plant my tomato plants. I put in a couple of green bean plants and a green pepper plant here and a red pepper plant there. Then I planted four rows of corn and it almost seemed like I was on the farm. I then started with the seeds and I got some radishes in the ground, next came the carrots, and some peas and green beans. I then finished with a squash plant and a zucchini plant and a broccoli plant. I then got the water running and watered my garden down. I am now hoping that with a little help from Mother Nature that I will have a garden to be proud of.
